Feelin' better

Stella here.
Happy t' report that we're both feelin' a whole lot better t'day. Don't I just hate gettin' a cold!
Like Harvey said, I wore myself out yest'day - it's true - even though all I did was change the sheets, do a couple o' loads o' wash, scrub up th' kitchen, an' mop th' floors! Guess I'm not's young's I usta be.

But th' sky's cleared an' th' water out on th' bay's mighty pretty. One o' my grape hyacinths is pokin' through on th' south side o' th' house 'long with th' crocuses!
Warn't I just some tickled t' see that! Wasn't sure they'd come back this year.

Next thing I gotta do's go out an' clean up all th' sunflower hulls from under th' birdfeeder... looks like a black snowdrift, there's so many of 'em!
Harvey says it's a waste o' money feedin' birds all winter that oughta be down south eatin' bugs. But I do so love t' watch 'em come an' eat when there's nothin' else t' look at but how deep th' snow's gettin'.
Still, I wouldn't want t' go south like some folks do.
Harvey's been talkin' goin' someplace else f'r th' winter long's I've known him - but it ain't never gonna happen - y'c'n be sure o' that. That man's tethered here's much's I am!

Gotta go now. T'day's library day... Tuesdays an' Sat'days now. I c'n remember when t'was just Sat'days f'r a couple o' hours back when Edna was runnin' it. Now they got a whole extra room built on an' a board an' a bunch o' volunteers t' help out. I missed last Sat'day 'cause o' bein' down with th' cold, but I'm not gonna miss today!
I still miss Edna, though. Even after all these years. She was about th' best friend I ever had.

OK. Enough jawin'. Won't I be some glad to get OUT f'r a while!
:-)
Love,
Stella
