Back again and catchin' up

Me an' Harvey's doin' fine... thanks t' th' folks who've been askin' Pat G about us. Makes me feel some tickled t' know we got some friends out there who're wonderin'.

Moose Cove's smack in th' middle o' summer. I dunno where all th' out o' state folks come from these days, what with th' price o' gas s' high an' all! Seems t' me that them from away might consider stayin' closer t' home an' savin' their hard-earned $$... but I guess th' pioneerin' genes is alive an' well in a lot o' people - even if there ain't no places left that needs pioneerin'!

It bein' a fine kinda day, Harvey's out on th' boat with our son-in-law, spinnin' tales t' tourists that got no more basis in th' real world than cows flyin' t' th' moon t' refill th' green cheese. That man is FULL o' it!!

This year th' two of 'em decided t' try offerin' a Sight-Seein' "cruise" around th' bay an' out just far enough inta th' real ocean t' make f'r a bumpy enough ride that th' folks from away think theyre headed f'r Spain!
So far it seems t' be a big success. Only mishap so far's been when some kid dropped his ipod... 'r mebbe it was a mp3... overboard an' almost jumped in t' get it back.
If H. hadn't been quick with th' grapplin' hook an' snagged th' fool kid's britches - which H. says were hangin' half-way off his butt th' way some kids wear 'em these days - that fam'ly mighta gone home one teenager shy.

I been bakin' pies f'r th' Sea View restaurant near ev'ry day, so y' c'n see that we been kinda busy.

I did want t' pass along th' word, though, 'bout th' benefit concert that's happenin' down t' Brunswick this Friday (th' 15th). Th' UU church down there had a big fire back in June an' some o' th' folks there are doin' this concert at th' library (Curtis Memorial) t' help raise money t' put th' whole shebang back t'gether again.

Pat G says she's gonna read somethin' she put down about Harvey an' me.
An' there's a pile o' good musical types comin' t' play... 2 women called Broadband (don't that make Harvey chuckle), Dan & Richard Nelson, Jacqui Morse (Mrs. Kendall), Marie Dufresne, an' Jerry Blodgett.

Wish we could go, but Harvey's gotta be up wicked early next mornin' t' get th' boat ready, an' me, I gotta bake a load o' pies b'fore th' day's heat comes on too bad.
You go, though. It oughta be a real good time!
